Ape Bump is a hip hop duo from Great Barrington, MA. Formed in 2003, the group is composed of brothers Arnold and Joseph McGregor, who perform under the respective personas of DJ King Arnold-2 -Crush and MC Bananas. Ape Bump perform a style of hardcore hip hop coined Animalcore and are known for their elaborate live performances often with a live Gorilla on stage. Continued pressure from PETA ultimately caused to duo to drop their mics permanently in 2009.
